A leading construction company is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Control Engineer to oversee cost control activities across major building and construction projects.
The successful candidate will establish and monitor project budgets, track expenditures and commitments, analyze cost performance, and prepare reliable forecasts. Working closely with project management, engineering, procurement, commercial, and finance teams, the role will identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions to keep projects within approved budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, review, and maintain project cost baselines, budgets, and cost coding structures.
Monitor procurement and subcontract commitments, actual costs, and accruals against approved budgets.
Prepare cost-to-complete (CTC) forecasts and estimates at completion (EAC), incorporating project progress, outstanding commitments, and anticipated risks.
Analyze budget variances, investigate cost overruns, and recommend corrective actions.
Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to assess cost and schedule performance.
Good understanding of BOQs, subcontractor payments, procurement commitments, and change management.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI and ERP systems is an advantage.
Ability to interpret project financial data and translate findings into practical recommendations.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
High attention to detail and the ability to manage reporting deadlines across complex projects.
Previous experience in KSA is preferred.
