Job Description

The MEP Technical Manager will oversee all back-office operations related to technical documentation and cost estimation for awarded MEP projects. This role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and strategic coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the production, review, and approval of all technical documentation including shop drawings, as-built drawings, material submittals, and engineering .calculations
  • Ensure all deliverables meet project specifications, local codes, and client expectations.
  • Study RFQs, specifications, BOQs, and related documents to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimations.
  • Collaborate with procurement and commercial teams to align technical inputs with budgetary goals.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, PMCs, and other relevant entities to resolve technical queries and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Represent the technical department in meetings and reviews,
  • Support procurement activities by providing technical evaluations, vendor assessments, and material compliance reviews.
  • Develop and implement procedures, policies, and strategic plans for the technical department.
  • Actively participate in the recruitment and onboarding of skilled technical staff.
  • Build and manage a high-performing team of MEP engineers and draftsmen.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 12 years in MEP construction, with at least 5 years in a similar role.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, estimation software, and document control tools.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage cross-functional coordination.
  • Strong understanding of Saudi building codes and standards.
  • Experience with Aramco/SABIC projects is a significant advantage.
  • Organized, result-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
