We are seeking a Finance Manager for a Hospital in Beirut, Lebanon. The Finance Manager plays a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the hospital. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient financial reporting, overseeing financial operations, budgeting, financial analysis, and compliance with healthcare regulations. The Finance Manager works closely with the hospital’s leadership team to implement effective financial strategies, monitor financial performance, and optimize resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities
Directs, coordinates and evaluates hospital activities concerned with general accounting, patient admission, flow and accounting procedures and financial and statistical reporting.
Supervises Admissions, Billing and Collection (ABC), Finance, Accounting and Procurement staff, and coordinates the integration of interdepartmental and intradepartmental services.
Insures timely receipt of payments on patient accounts, reduces costs of accounting operations, and advances flow of work.
Arranges for annual audits, and directs the preparation of quarterly and annually internal financial reports, annual audit reports, annual tax returns, and other required governmental reporting, and prepares insurance contracts and related financial reports.
Manages accounts receivable, collections or receivables and controls billing to third parties.
Oversees general accounting to ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
Monitors staff performance and provide orientation and continuous training as needed to maintain competent staff in job-related skills and fulfilment of responsibilities.
Directs, coordinates and evaluates hospital activities concerned with general accounting, patient admission, flow and accounting procedures and financial and statistical reporting.
Abiding at all times by internal hospital rules and regulations, and following the policies and procedures and reporting incidents, using the OVR reporting system
Administers the general accounting, patient business services, including third-party reimbursement, financial, and statistical reporting functions of the hospital in accordance with established accounting policies and procedures.
Supervising & controlling the scheduling of payments with the ABC Manager.
Complies with workflows, policies and procedures as well as other activities to support the hospital and Quality System in accreditation requirements.
Recommends budget modifications as required and assists managers in the development of the departmental budgets
Cultivate relationships with VIP clients and oversee CRM strategies.
Handle escalated customer issues with diplomacy and discretion. Team Leadership & Training
Lead, mentor, and develop boutique managers and sales staff.
Assists the CEO in the development of long and short-range hospital operations and financial plans that may include service demand analyses, resources availability analyses and cost benefit analyses of proposed capital and staff planning and expansions.
Directs compilation of financial data and preparation of financial and operating reports and cost analysis to assist Management/Board of Directors and Stakeholders in decision making and effective planning of hospital activities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or Master’s Degree strongly preferred).
Or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration(CPA or Master’s Degree is a must
10 years of experience in the financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, taxation and providing financial advice.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience working at the CFO level or a progressive management position in a healthcare organization.
