We are seeking a Finance & Administration Manager for a reputable insurance company in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Key Responsibilities
Oversee the preparation and management of the company’s financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to ensure financial stability and profitability.
Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to senior management for better decision-making.
Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, tax laws, and international accounting standards.
Manage the preparation and submission of financial statements in line with legal and regulatory standards.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure accuracy and transparency in financial reporting.
Oversee administrative functions, including HR management, office management, and procurement.
Supervise and manage the administrative team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Streamline administrative processes to enhance efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Manage the financial aspects of insurance policies, claims, and underwriting processes.
Provide analysis and insights into product pricing, profitability, and risk management.
Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to meet financial obligations.
Oversee company investments to ensure effective fund utilization and maximize returns while minimizing risks.
Lead, mentor, and support the finance and administration team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
Provide training on financial reporting, internal controls, and company policies.
Prepare financial reports for management and stakeholders, offering detailed insights and recommendations.
Act as the point of contact for financial inquiries and ensure prompt, accurate communication with stakeholders.
Requirements
Fluency in French (both written and spoken) is essential.
Proven experience as a Finance Manager with a solid background in insurance or financial services.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is an advantage.
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with significant experience in a managerial capacity.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and insurance industry compliance.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, especially Excel.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and improve operational processes.
