A leading supermarket in Mozambique is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager with strong on-ground supermarket retail experience to manage sourcing, supplier relationships, and product availability across stores.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end procurement for supermarket operations (FMCG, fresh, non-food).
Source, negotiate, and manage local and international suppliers.
Ensure product availability, optimal stock levels, and competitive pricing.
Monitor market trends, demand forecasting, and inventory planning.
Coordinate closely with operations, logistics, and finance teams.
Control procurement costs while maintaining quality and supply continuity.
Requirements
Mandatory supermarket retail experience (applications without this will not be considered).
Proven experience in on-ground procurement operations.
Strong negotiation, supplier management, and commercial skills.
Ability to work in emerging markets and fast-paced retail environments.
Willingness to relocate and work in Mozambique.
