Construction manager

Job Description

A leading construction company is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee building projects in Dammam, KSA.

The successful candidate will lead site operations, manage construction teams and subcontractors, and ensure works are completed safely, within budget, and according to approved schedules and quality standards. The role requires extensive experience managing building construction, from structural works through architectural finishes, MEP coordination, and handover.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily site operations across structural, architectural, and finishing works.
Develop execution plans, construction sequences, and site logistics arrangements.
Supervise site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and construction teams.
Coordinate with planning teams to monitor progress, identify delays, and implement recovery actions.
Plan and allocate manpower, materials, and equipment to meet project requirements.
Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality standards.
Coordinate civil, architectural, and MEP activities to resolve clashes and avoid rework.
Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, and compliance with agreed scope and deadlines.
Enforce health and safety procedures and maintain safe working conditions.
Coordinate procurement and deliveries to prevent material shortages and execution delays.
Monitor site costs, resource utilization, and material wastage against approved budgets.
Resolve technical and operational issues with consultants, engineering teams, and project management.
Prepare progress reports and participate in client, consultant, and subcontractor meetings.
Oversee inspections, snagging, defect rectification, and project handover.

Requirements

Minimum 15 years of relevant construction experience, including at least 7 years as a Construction Manager on building projects.
Strong experience managing structural works, architectural finishes, and MEP coordination.
Proven ability to lead site teams and manage subcontractors and construction resources.
Strong knowledge of building construction methods, materials, sequencing, and quality requirements.
Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
Experience in progress monitoring, productivity management, cost control, and resource planning.
Strong understanding of construction health and safety practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Currently available in Saudi Arabia and willing to join as soon as possible.
