Job Description

The Clinical Psychologist is responsible for providing comprehensive psychological assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for adult patients experiencing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and psychological conditions. This role plays a vital part in delivering patient-centered mental healthcare by developing individualized treatment plans, promoting psychological well-being, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal clinical outcomes while maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and clinical interviews for adult patients.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs.
Provide evidence-based psychotherapy for adults experiencing anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, PTSD, addiction and substance use disorders, stress-related conditions, and emotional or behavioral challenges.
Apply recognized therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, or other evidence-based modalities as appropriate.
Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and adjust therapeutic interventions when necessary.
Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely clinical documentation, assessment reports, and treatment records in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards.
Provide psychological education and guidance to patients and, when appropriate, their families or caregivers.
Identify patients requiring crisis intervention and provide appropriate psychological support or referral.
Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines, professional regulations, hospital policies, and applicable healthcare legislation.

Requirements

Lebanese Nationality
Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology.
Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in a hospital or specialized mental health center.
Proven experience treating adult patients with addiction, trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, and related psychological conditions.
Strong knowledge and practical experience in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, or other recognized treatment modalities.
Excellent psychological assessment, diagnostic, and case management skills.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and therapeutic relationship-building abilities.
Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.
Eligibility to obtain or hold professional licensure to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in the UAE.
