The Construction Director is responsible for overseeing and directing multiple construction projects and operations to ensure successful execution in line with company objectives, budgets, timelines, quality standards, and client expectations. This role provides strategic leadership to project and construction teams while ensuring operational efficiency, risk management, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements across projects in Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the execution of multiple construction projects from initiation to completion.
Develop construction strategies, execution plans, and operational objectives.
Monitor overall project performance, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
Ensure projects are delivered in compliance with quality, safety, and contractual requirements.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
Review and approve construction schedules, procurement plans, and manpower strategies.
Identify and mitigate project risks, delays, and operational challenges.
Ensure proper implementation of HSE and QA/QC standards across all projects.
Support commercial and contract teams in evaluating claims, variations, and project costs.
Provide leadership and guidance to project directors, construction managers, and site teams.
Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance to ensure alignment with project requirements.
Conduct executive-level progress meetings and provide strategic reports to senior management.
Drive continuous improvement in construction processes, productivity, and project delivery standards.
Ensure successful project handovers and client satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Minimum 15 years of experience in construction and project execution within large-scale projects.
Mandatory experience working on construction projects in Saudi Arabia.
Proven leadership experience in construction operations and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong understanding of project management, construction methodologies, budgeting, and cost control.
Excellent knowledge of Saudi construction regulations, standards, and contract administration.
Strong communication, leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and reporting tools.
