The Junior Estimator Engineer supports the estimation department in preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and pricing for civil and architectural divisions. The role involves reviewing drawings and specifications, assisting in supplier/subcontractor inquiries, and compiling tender documents under the supervision of Lead/Senior estimators.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of Tender Overview Summary for each received new Tender.
Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, and quantity take-offs for civil and architectural construction disciplines.
Review tender drawings, specifications, and related documents to understand project scope and requirements.
Prepare packages and send inquiries to suppliers and subcontractors.
Support in gathering and analyzing quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Assist in preparing and organizing tender documentation for submission.
Assist in the preparation of Post-Tender Clarifications.
Maintain an organized database of suppliers, subcontractors, and material prices.
Support in preparing clarification queries and responding to client or consultant inquiries during the tendering stage.
Learn and apply estimation software tools and methodologies under guidance from senior staff.
Contribute to post-tender analysis and feedback sessions for continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
0-1 year of experience, fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude may be considered.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.
Strong analytical skills and accuracy in performing take-offs and calculations.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work under pressure to meet tender deadlines.
