Job Description

The Junior Estimator Engineer supports the estimation department in preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and pricing for civil and architectural divisions. The role involves reviewing drawings and specifications, assisting in supplier/subcontractor inquiries, and compiling tender documents under the supervision of Lead/Senior estimators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of Tender Overview Summary for each received new Tender.
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, and quantity take-offs for civil and architectural construction disciplines.
  • Review tender drawings, specifications, and related documents to understand project scope and requirements.
  • Prepare packages and send inquiries to suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Support in gathering and analyzing quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Assist in preparing and organizing tender documentation for submission.
  • Assist in the preparation of Post-Tender Clarifications.
  • Maintain an organized database of suppliers, subcontractors, and material prices.
  • Support in preparing clarification queries and responding to client or consultant inquiries during the tendering stage.
  • Learn and apply estimation software tools and methodologies under guidance from senior staff.
  • Contribute to post-tender analysis and feedback sessions for continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
  • 0-1 year of experience, fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude may be considered.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and accuracy in performing take-offs and calculations.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tender deadlines.
