Accountant

Job Description

We are hiring an Accountant for a supermarket in Dubai. The ideal candidate must have experience in retail accounting and be proficient in Tally Software.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and trial balances for review by senior management.
Retail Accounting: Manage all aspects of retail accounting, including sales reconciliation, purchase and inventory tracking, and ensuring accurate documentation of financial transactions.
Tally Software Management: Utilize Tally accounting software to process transactions, maintain records, and generate reports, ensuring the system is updated with correct and current financial data.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, including overseeing the supermarket's daily financial transactions and ensuring funds are appropriately allocated.
Auditing Support: Assist in conducting internal audits and support external auditors during periodic audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
Inventory Accounting: Track and record inventory levels, ensuring the correct valuation and reconciliation of stock, and assist with inventory-related financial reporting.
Tax Compliance: Ensure proper documentation and submission of taxes in compliance with UAE regulations, including VAT, and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
Expense Management: Monitor and report on operational expenses, ensuring cost control and providing recommendations for improving profitability.
Payroll Administration: Process employee payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment of salaries and benefits in compliance with local labor laws.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to management.
Vendor and Supplier Management: Ensure timely payment to vendors and suppliers, maintaining accurate records of accounts payable and receivable.
Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting procedures, and legal regulations, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or inefficiencies.
