Job Description

A well-established supermarket chain in Mozambique is looking for a Director of Operations with experience in grocery retail chains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to increase efficiency and profitability.
  • Set and track operational goals aligned with company objectives.
  • Analyze market trends to stay competitive and make informed decisions.
  • Monitor sales, expenses, and KPIs for each store or the entire chain.
  • Ensure all stores meet or exceed performance targets.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with store managers.
  • Ensure adherence to local laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Mitigate operational risks through audits and regular inspections.
  • Manage crisis situations (e.g., supply disruptions, natural disasters).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business of related field.
  • Very good command of English language.
  • Experience as Director of Operations in a grocery retail (4 to 5 years).
