Job Description

The Foam Plant Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all operations within the foam manufacturing plant, ensuring efficient production processes, high product quality, and compliance with safety and operational standards. The role manages production planning, machinery performance, workforce supervision, maintenance coordination, and cost control to achieve production targets and operational excellence. The Foam Plant Manager plays a key role in optimizing manufacturing efficiency, minimizing waste, improving productivity, and supporting the company’s overall business and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the entire foam production process to ensure smooth plant operations and achievement of production targets.
Supervise production teams, shift operations, and workforce performance while maintaining productivity and discipline.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, production specifications, and customer requirements.
Monitor and optimize machinery performance, production efficiency, and plant utilization.
Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
Manage raw material consumption, inventory levels, and production planning to reduce waste and control costs.
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and operational regulations within the plant.
Analyze production reports, KPIs, and operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with procurement, logistics, quality, and sales departments to ensure smooth operational flow and timely deliveries.
Train, mentor, and evaluate plant employees to support workforce development and succession planning.
Ensure proper implementation of company policies, operational procedures, and manufacturing best practices.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, operational efficiency, and product quality.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Manufacturing, or a related fields.
4–5 years of proven experience as a Foam Plant Manager or in a similar managerial role within foam, polyurethane, mattress, or manufacturing industries.
Strong knowledge of foam production processes, plant operations, and manufacturing workflows.
Experience in managing production teams, machinery, maintenance, and operational planning.
Ability to monitor production efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize plant performance.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Knowledge of health, safety, and quality standards within manufacturing environments.
Experience in production planning, inventory management, and cost control.
Excellent communication and team management abilities.
Willingness to relocate and work in Nigeria.
